Cougar Ace is a genre-melting blues, boogie, rock and roll band. Their raw, unadulterated sound marries the styles of Hound Dog Taylor, Chuck Berry, AC/DC and John Lee Hooker. Plug in and play is their motto.
Joel Caithamer (guitar / vocals) and Shawn Fry (drums) formed the group in 2009 after working at the same public library. They are both songwriters and have penned well over 150 tunes for the band.
Cougar Ace has shared the stage with national acts such as The Blasters, The Delta Bombers and the Royal Hounds. They call Northern Kentucky home, but love hitting the road as much as possible.
