The CBS Summer 2021 Live Stream Blues Fest will be broadcast on Saturday August 14, 2021, 6pm-9pm EDT on Cincy Blues Society Facebook and Youtube.
Video File Submissions
Video files for the Live Stream Blues Fest must be submitted no later than July 7, 2021 at midnight EDT. Sending us a Youtube link is not sufficient. Although we can look at Youtube links as a preview of what you want to submit, we need the actual video files for the broadcast.
File formats must be .mov or .mp4. Videos recorded in high definition (1080p) are preferred, with about 15 minutes of material total. Smartphone video quality or better is acceptable. Videos can be new or pre-pandemic material, and should be live performances of covers and/or original songs.
Please note: Due to Facebook restrictions, the audio and/or video recording cannot be officially registered or copyrighted, even if you own the copyright. The reason is that Facebook will mute or block the videos (that match) the copyrighted material and ask questions later!
Digital video files are too large to be sent by email. Therefore, you’ll need to send your files via a free service like Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, etc. Or burn them onto a DVD and snail mail them.
If you don’t have the files, and the videos are on Youtube, you can contact the Youtube channel owner and ask them to download and send us the files. If you’re the channel owner, you can do this yourself.

Cincy Blues Society will be promoting the event to our audience. We also ask that each performer also promote the event to their audience. In addition to arts grant funds, we will also be asking for donations from the audience to help pay the bands. Therefore, the more the performers that promote the event, the better the potential is for more views and increased donations.
For maximum exposure, we ask that you promote the show three weeks out, a week before the show, the day before the show, and on the day of show - August 14, 2021.
Copy the Facebook Event page link - (TBA) and post it to your Facebook band page to promote the event and to get it to show up in your Events list. Please do not make a new event because we
need to have everyone to share the same event.
If you’re also promoting via your email list or a website event calendar, you can use the info from the Facebook Event as a press release.

Meet And Greet
During the broadcast, we invite and encourage you to come to the broadcast and chat with the audience, at least during your time slot. In our promo for the event, the bands are listed in the order of appearance. Figure on about 15 minutes for each band. This will help you find your time slot.
We suggest that Blues in the Schools use an adult representative to protect the children’s privacy.
