All-Star Boogie Woogie Live Stream Benefit Concert Fri. Feb. 5

The Cincinnati Arches Piano Stage & Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame are pleased to present its first All-Star Boogie Woogie Livestream Benefit Concert, featuring world-class artists performing high-energy boogie woogie piano tunes to lift your spirits and get your toes and fingers tapping!

LIVESTREAM EVENT

The benefit event is free to watch, presented as a livestream event on February 5, 2021, beginning at 7:00 PM EST through the website, www.archespianostage.com and the Arches Piano Stage social media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube.

ARTISTS

The all-star boogie woogie artists are:
Ricky Nye (Cincinnati, Ohio)                                        
Rob Rio (Los Angeles, California)
Carl Sonny Leyland (Cuyama Valley, California)          
Chase Garrett (St. Louis, Missouri)
Eden Brent (Greenville, Mississippi)                           
Nirek Mokar (Paris, France)
Kevin McKendree (Nashville, Tennesee)
Henri Herbert (Austin, Texas)
Marcia Ball of Austin, TX will serve as the host and also perform.

The Arches Piano Stage was established over 30 years ago in Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of the Cincy Blues Society annual summer festival, Cincy Blues Fest. It has traditionally presented annual events featuring great boogie woogie artists performing live before audiences under the Arches Bridge, connecting Cincinnati to Covington, Kentucky.  In its history, the organization has promoted and supported boogie woogie, and has produced shows featuring live performances by over 300 wonderful musical artists. 

WORLD FOOD PROGRAM BENEFIT

All proceeds from the benefit concert will go directly to the World Food Program, the food-assistance branch of the United Nations that was recipient of the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.

 
BOOGIE WOOGIE HALL OF FAME INDUCTION

During the livestream, the founder of the Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame will honor two of the more prominent figures in boogie woogie history, with official inductions into the Hall of Fame of Jean-Paul Amouroux and Meade Lux Lewis.
