Our recent survey shows that 80% of you are worried about the future of the blues. We are too. We’ve been experiencing a shrinking audience for several years now, which has caused a downward spiral in our budget. While there are some demographic issues that may be out of our control, there are also many things that can be done.
The survey, which reflects the issues that are important to you, was presented to board, including the new board members who were elected this past Tuesday. We intend to do some brainstorming and problem solving meetings to solve these issues.
We will also be using proven marketing techniques to help both our main Baby Boomer demographic and younger demographics connect the dots from blues-based music that they already like, back to traditional blues. Many people are already blues fans; they just don’t realize it.
While we’re working hard to improve things, we could really use your support to help us through this rough patch with our budget. Your donation will help Blues in the Schools, Cincy Blues Fest, the website, and more! If you’ve been enjoying these programs, please donate now!
Many people have already donated, but we could still use more help to reach our goal.
Many thanks to our recent donors – Wayne, Phillip, Scott, Marilyn, Beverly, Art, Robert, James , Daniel, Roger, and Debby. We really appreciate it!
