Catrina "Cat" Campbell and Mark Bubash had met 20 years ago but their musical paths had not cross until recently when Cat decided she wanted to get deeper into singing the blues and the blues style of music. She had sung in church as a small girl and performed with groups during college. For the last 15 years she has been performing in groups ranging in style from bluegrass to gospel to rock. A multi-instrumentalist Cat can play piano and guitar but she fell in love with the upright bass just about seven years ago and began expanding her musical repertoire.
Mark Bubash has been on the Cincinnati music scene for 30 years. Born and raised in St. Louis Missouri he started playing guitar at age 7 and was a student at one time of Mr. Mel Bay. Mark mostly known as the guitarist and founder of the Tempted Souls Band which has performed numerous times at the both the Cincy Summer and Winter Blues Fest. Though the Tempted Souls are still going strong performing Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Mark wanted to start a new project that was smaller than a full band so to team up with Cat seemed like a natural fit. The combined musical talents and styles of Wayfaring Strangers makes this a new group with an old soul.
