Gradual Taylor Band
Gradual Taylor: guitar /vocal/ harmonica /keyboard, writes songs, and records from his own studio. Gradual played with Bootsy Collins , Junior Walker and the All-Stars, Bobby Womack. He was brought up on stage with Luther Allison and received a standing ovation. Gradual was brought back to play with the Grateful Dead after Pigpen heard him playing the harmonica in Hide Park (a suburb of Cincinnati.)
Gary Spaulding: drums played with Vandells, Adrian Belew,played for Big Joe Duskins 84th birthday party. Gary has been playing since he was 11, played in bars since he was 12. Gary has been known to play drums standing on his head. Or playing drums without drumsticks.
Ross Miller: bass, born in Indianapolis, In, vocal /bass /keyboards Styles: rock/ funk/ blues. Influences: Bootsy/Stanly Clark/ Larry Graham
The band got together at Mansion Hill Tavern. The audience went wild, and almost demanded that they become a group.
New this year even though he actually did play the 2012 Blues fest with his father Gradual Taylor’s son David is officially in the lineup. David is a senior at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. David plays guitar bass drums keyboards and sings. David also writes songs. According to Gradual He is a graduate of the Joe Jackson School of music. David has been playing music since the age of ten.
Though all of the players have played a wide range of cover music for their whole careers, in this band, all members sing lead, and all members write original music. All the music that you hear is going to be the band’s original songs.
