Blues Challenge Solo/Duo Winners

It was our first time having the Solo/Duo Challenge separate from the bands, and it seemed really right.  Mansion Hill Tavern proved to be the perfect intimate location with a good vibe. The grill was smokin’ and a comfortably large crowd showed up to hear the music and cheer everyone on. We were impressed by the uniformly high quality of the acts and I’m sure the judges had trouble differentiating between them.

Congratulations To The Band Winners Of The Cincy Blues Challenge

Despite a forecast of storms earlier in the week it turned out to be a beautiful hot day, as hot as all the music emanating from Germania Park. The pavilion was full of fans relaxing or dancing to the music, drinking beer, and enjoying barbecue, cheesecake on a stick and other good eats.

First Hand Account of the Nashville Flood

Caprice East is from Nashville and a Blues Friend of Cincy Blues member Henry Tate.  They met in Cincinnati in 2006 at the Tall Stacks Festival.  The following is a moving description of the flooding in Nashville. Our thoughts are with her and the residents and family affected.
